Toledo daycare worker arrested for allegedly leaving children unattended to go visit a friend

TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) – A Toledo daycare worker was arrested early Saturday morning on charges related to leaving three children unattended, police said.

According to the incident report, Tommy Colbert, 23, was arrested at 3:31 a.m. on a charge of child endangerment.

It’s alleged that Colbert left three children, aged 6, 3 and 11 months old, unattended for an hour to go visit a friend.

The daycare, Little Miracle’s Child Care Center, is located on the 4200 block of Monroe St.

Colbert appeared in court on January 17. He pleaded Not Guilty and was released on his own recognizance.
