NBC released the following official logline for the crossover: “Firehouse 51 is called to an airfield when a passenger jet suddenly goes silent mid-air, triggering a high-stakes emergency. Their discovery cracks open a bigger and deadlier mystery — one with consequences that could ripple far beyond the runway and put countless lives in jeopardy.”

One Chicago crossovers have always been a popular night for fans but had been on pause since 2019 due to the Covid pandemic. The event returned last season.

The trio of shows continues to be popular on NBC’s Wednesday nights, with One Chicago holding on to the No. 1 spot for dramas in total viewers and the adults 18-49 demo. The franchise has reached nearly 32 million viewers across all platforms this season.

All three Chicago series are produced by Universal Television, a division of Universal Studio Group, in association with Wolf Entertainment.
