ITV2 Love Island star Jack Keating has candidly spoken about his parents’ divorce, admitting that he found their split challenging.
Jack, who is now a co-parenting dad himself, was first seen in the Love Island villa during the show’s eight series back in 2022 when he entered Casa Amor. However, just a few days later he was dumped from the Island, unsuccessful in his mission.
Now the young star, who is the son of Boyzone’s Ronan Keating, has returned to South Africa for the third instalment of Love Island All Stars as he is seen exploring a connection with Whitney, though fans remain divided about his villa debut.

As the star continues in the luxury villa, he previously opened up about his childhood, including a heartbreaking admission about his parents. Jack was only 13 when his father Ronan and mother Yvonne Connolly decided to part ways, reports RSVP Live.
He said: “It was tough. We were so young at that stage. Not that I’m saying I’m happy our parents got divorced, but I’m happy that it happened when we were younger, we could be a bit more shielded from it.
“We knew what had happened. I didn’t really know why it happened. We just knew that our parents were splitting up.
“And then as you get older, then you see a lot of the stories… you find out more details. But it was definitely a tough time for all of us. God. It was a lot.”

As a result of their parents’ separation, Jack revealed that he’s become very close to his two sisters, as he told the Sunday Independent that the three of them would “always be together no matter what” as they split their time between their parents.
However, Jack believes it was for the best as both of his parents are the happiest he’s ever seen them, and he is very content with the large, blended family he is now a part of.
Yvonne is in a relationship with filmmaker John Conroy, while Ronan is married to Storm, and they have two children together, Coco and Cooper.
Jack went on to confirm that his parents are now the “happiest” he has seen them as the two appear to be completely different people.
Love Island All Stars continues tonight at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
