Upstate NY gas station sells $2M ticket for Friday’s Mega Millions

A $2 million winning ticket was sold at an Upstate New York gas station following Friday’s Mega Millions drawing.
No one matched all of the numbers for the grand prize.
The second-place ticket, sold at a Citgo Food Mart in Pine Island (Orange County), featured a 2X multiplier that doubled its value from $1 million to $2 million. The Mega Multiplier feature randomly assigns multipliers at purchase and can increase lower-tier prizes by 2X, 3X, 4X, 5X, or 10X, potentially boosting the second prize up to $10 million.
Friday’s winning numbers were 30-42-49-53-66 with Mega Ball 4.
The jackpot now stands at an estimated $266 million with a cash option of about $120.8 million for Tuesday’s drawing. The last jackpot winner claimed $90 million on Dec. 2.
According to the game’s official website, the odds of winning the jackpot are 1 in 302,575,350.
Mega Millions drawings occur Tuesdays and Fridays in 45 states, Washington D.C., and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Tickets cost $5.
