Titans’ Robert Saleh has talked to Arthur Smith about OC opening

Tennessee Titans head coach Robert Saleh is already hard at work assembling his initial staff in Nashville, and finding the right offensive coordinator sits at the top of his to-do list.
While many believe Brian Daboll is the frontrunner for the opening, he is currently unavailable as the Buffalo head coaching search is nearing its conclusion. With Daboll a question mark, Saleh has started talking with other candidates for the position, and one is a familiar face.
Jeremy Fowler posted on social media that Arthur Smith has spoken with Saleh about the position, marking the second time this offseason Smith has met with the organization. Smith initially met with Mike Borgonzi during the first wave of interviews for the head coach vacancy.
The former Atlanta Falcons head coach has worked his way back into coaching discussions after helping the Pittsburgh Steelers win the AFC North in 2025 and getting the most out of aging Aaron Rodgers.
Smith struggled to find a quarterback during his three seasons at the helm of the Falcons, finishing with a 21-30 record. But his teams were competitive and appeared to be a consistent quarterback away from taking the next step.
Prior to his three-year stint with the Falcons, Smith spent 10 seasons in Nashville and rose through the Titans’ coaching ranks from assistant to offensive coordinator, and coordinated some of the best units in Titans history.
