Is Saturday Night Live New Tonight? Find Out the January 24 Host & Musical Guest

The best day of the week has arrived, and we’re not just saying that because the work week is over.
How to Watch
Watch Saturday Night Live Saturdays at 11:30/10:30c on NBC and next day on Peacock.
Saturdays (and Sundays, for many) are, in our opinion, primarily for watching Saturday Night Live, whether it’s live or not. We’re logged into Peacock either way, with more than 50 years of comedy right at our fingertips, but it’s always a little more fun when the jokes are brand new and there’s no way of knowing what might happen, or what kind of chaos a new host will bring to Studio 8H.
Last week, we got a steamy Harry Potter parody and a sketch featuring Host Finn Wolfhard nearly breaking into giggles because Mikey Day couldn’t stop feeding him galactic delights.

Is SNL new tonight, January 24, 2026?
Yes! A new episode of SNL airs tonight at 11:30/10:30c on NBC and streams the next day on Peacock.
SNL returned from its winter hiatus with last week’s episode, hosted by Finn Wolfhard with Musical Guest A$AP Rocky. It was a heck of a way to start the new year, featuring multiple special guests: Sabrina Carpenter, Jason Momoa, and Wolfhard’s Stranger Things co-stars Caleb McLaughlin and Gaten Matarazzo.
A$AP Rocky celebrated the January 16 release of his new album Don’t Be Dumb with an onstage rager, complete with Danny Elfman on drums.

Who is the January 24 SNL Host and Musical Guest?
Teyana Taylor and Geese.
Taylor just scored a Supporting Actress Oscar nomination for her role in Paul Thomas Anderson’s One Battle After Another, weeks after winning the Golden Globe in the same category and days before finding out if she wins a Grammy for her album Escape Room. The multi-talented singer, dancer, actress, rapper, sneaker designer, choreographer and mother of two now gets to add sketch comedian to her resumé by making her SNL debut.
Geese is also making their SNL debut. The indie rock band is the first group to perform in Season 51, and they’re riding high off the 2025 release of their critically acclaimed album Getting Killed.

Who is the next SNL Host and Musical Guest?
Alexander Skarsgård and Cardi B.
Skarsgård is making his SNL debut just in time for the release of the R-rated movie Pillion, in which he plays a biker. The TV and movie star is no stranger to roles that are bold and a little risqué, given that he played a sexy vampire in the 2008 drama True Blood. He also played a horrible husband on Big Little Lies, the iconic Stephen King villain Randall Flagg in the 2020 adaptation of The Stand, a Roy family antagonist on Succession, and the titular role in a show called Murderbot. Who knows what Skarsgård might bring to the stage in Studio 8H.
Cardi B is returning for her second go as Musical Guest, nearly eight years after her last appearance. She last appeared in 2018, right around when she released her first album. Her second album Am I the Drama? hit the top of the charts in September 2025, and now she’s coming back to SNL to celebrate.
