Dana Blumberg, known since 2022 as Dana Kraft, remains one of the lesser-known figures on the New England Patriots scene. But the team primarily owned by her husband of just over three years, Robert Kraft, as of Sunday was one of four remaining in the NFL playoffs, one win away from the Super Bowl. And that meant even she could not avoid the spotlight.

So who is Dana Blumberg and what is her relationship not only with Kraft, but with the Patriots organization?

Dana Blumberg Is Robert Kraft’s Second Wife

From 1963 until her death due to cancer in 2011 at age 68, Kraft was married to Myra Hyatt Kraft. It was through her father, Jacob Hiatt, that Kraft got his start in business straight out of Harvard Business School, working for the Hiatt family company the Rand-Whitney Group in 1968. Three years later, Kraft acquired a minority stake in the packaging firm, according to a Business Insider account, and was on his way to becoming a billionaire.

Myra Kraft, a native of Worcester, Massachusetts, was also highly active in New England as a philanthropist and trustee of her alma mater, Brandeis University in Waltham.

Kraft and Blumberg Apparently Met in 2017

While Kraft and his second wife, an ophthalmologist at New York-Presbyterian/Columbia University Irving Medical Center — where she was also an associate professor of ophthalmology — have kept the details of their relationship largely shielded from public scrutiny, they are reported to have met in 2017 at a bar in Lenox, Massachusetts, called Olde Heritage Tavern — according to former Philadelphia 76ers co-owner Michael Rubin, who posted about the meeting on his Instagram account.

They were reportedly seen together that year at an Elton John AIDS charity event, but their first confirmed public sighting together did not come until 2019, when they were seen attending the French Open tennis Grand Slam tournament, according to a People Magazine account.

They were married in 2022. Kraft has said that he was “really messed up” after the death of his first wife, and that he believes it was “God’s hand at work” in connecting him with Blumberg, according to the People account.

The Couple Has a 33-Year Age Difference

Though Blumberg’s exact birthday has not been publicly revealed, her husband on Jan. 7, 2024, threw her a “surprise” 50th birthday party at the legendary Apollo Theater in Harlem, New York City, as reported by the New York Post Page Six.

As a result, she is believed to have been born on — or sometime around — Jan. 7, 1974. That would make her 51 years old as the Patriots faced the Broncos in the AFC Championship.

The Patriots owner was born on June 5, 1941, meaning that he turned 84 years old last year. That makes him approximately 33 years older than his wife.

Dana Blumberg Kraft Created an Animal Rescue That Also Involves Mike Vrabel

In July 2025, right around the time that new Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel would be running his first training camp, Blumberg inaugurated her dog-rescue organization, aptly named Pawtriots, according to a Boston Herald report.

She credits Vrabel for getting the rescue charity off to a hugely successful start.

“The first practice under Vrabel resulted in roughly 40 dogs being adopted that day. Fans who came out to support the hometown team, and even rookie kicker Andy Borregales, joined in on the cause, while the head coach brought two pooches to the podium for his news conference,” wrote Herald reporter Lance Reynolds on Sunday. “Since then, dozens of other dogs have found permanent homes.”

Blumberg and Kraft have also taken part in a Thanksgiving food distribution charity, but otherwise, they have kept their relationship as closely guarded as has been possible.

“Throughout their relationship, Blumberg has stayed incredibly private,” according to People. “She does not have any social media accounts, and additional personal details about her profession remain unknown.”
