Our Yorkshire Farm star Amanda Owen has opened up about the moment her daughter saved a lamb in a “miracle” moment.

In 2018, Amanda rose to fame alongside her now ex-husband Clive when their first documentary series, Our Yorkshire Farm, launched on Channel 5.

In 2024, Channel 4 commissioned a ten-episode series called Our Farm Next Door, which chronicled the family’s journey as they renovated a 200-year-old farmhouse in the Yorkshire Dales. The Yorkshire Shepherdess lives and works at Ravenseat Farm alongside her ex-husband Clive and their nine children. The second series aired in 2025, with another instalment set to premiere on More 4 on Monday evening (January 19) at 9 pm.

Ahead of the new series airing, Amanda appeared on Monday’s episode of This Morning with two of her daughters, Clemmy and Nancy. The keen farmers spoke to the hosts of the ITV show, Ben Shephard and Cat Deeley, about their adventures on the farm.

The conversation quickly turned to a heart stopping moment in the show when a lamb was in a life-or-death situation. In a video clip, Clemmy managed to save a lamb that was stuck down a mineshaft that had opened up their farm land.

“I tell you something, that is one lucky lamb, that is a miracle, and that is down to you guys”, Amanda could be heard saying as the lamb reunited with its flock. Back in the studio, Clemmie told Cat and Ben, “Well, it was at lambing time last spring, and since the sheep were all at Anty John’s and the field, one of the lambs had fallen down a mineshaft opening.

“We found it and managed to get him out”, Amanda quickly added: “She offered herself up; she was being dangled by her feet while she went down there”. While speaking with Cat and Ben, Amanda also issued a disappointing update on their new house, Anty John’s, which won’t be ready anytime soon.

“So, it is a very slow job. The whole idea is to put the house back to how it would have been, keeping the integrity and the heritage of it alive, but also making it something that is liveable and workable. Nothing too contrived or anything like that. But it is a slow project, a very slow project. [The kids] are all involved in it. Talk about keeping busy.”

The new series of Our Farm Next Door premieres tonight (Monday, January 19) at 9pm on More4
