President Trump won’t attend Super Bowl 60, rips Green Day and Bad Bunny

President Donald Trump will not be in attendance for Super Bowl 60 when the New England Patriots and the Seattle Seahawks.
“It’s just too far away,” Trump told The New York Post. “I would. I’ve (gotten) great hands (at) the Super Bowl. They like me.”
Trump made history last year as the first sitting president to attend the Super Bowl. Super Bowl 59 took place in New Orleans between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Kansas City Chiefs.
The president also criticized Green Day, who will perform the Super Bowl’s opening ceremony, and Bad Bunny, the game’s halftime show performer.
“I’m anti-them,” Trump said of the musical acts. “I think it’s a terrible choice. All it does is sow hatred. Terrible.”
Green Day has been outspoken about Trump over the years. Recently, they’ve changed the lyrics in “American Idiot” from, “I’m not part of a redneck agenda,” to, “I’m not part of the MAGA agenda” during live performances.
Bad Bunny, Spotify’s most streamed Latin artist worldwide, did not have dates in the Continental United States during his recent tour, citing concerns that ICE raids would put his fans in danger. He’s also been outspoken of his criticism regarding Trump.
Despite backlash of having Bad Bunny perform the Super Bowl halftime show, NFL commissioner Roger Goodell defended the decision.
“He’s one of the leading and most popular entertainers in the world,” he said in October. “That’s what we try to achieve. It’s an important stage for us. It’s an important element to the entertainment value. It’s carefully thought through.”
