Victoria Beckham’s Response to Brooklyn, Nicola Peltz Drama

The Beckham drama has reached critical mass at this point, and it’s not just Brooklyn Beckham’s issues with his parents, but the entire family seems to be in on it. And people outside of the immediate family unit are also taking sides. It’s a lot. But what has Victoria Beckham said about her son’s words?
Ironically, Victoria Beckham just thanked her children as she was knighted by the French Ministry of Culture. Her husband, David Beckham, and their three youngest kids, Romeo, 23, Cruz, 20, and Harper, 14, were present for the ceremony.

“Thank you, my parents, and to my children for always believing in my vision,” she said, per a video obtained by the Daily Mail. The general thanks could be interpreted either as a way to include her oldest son, even with the feud, or a way to bring attention to the fact that he was the only one who wasn’t there. Everyone’s free to draw their own conclusions.
She also thanked the French Ministry of Culture and the Minister of Culture, Madame Rachida Dati, for “this honor,” adding, “I am extremely grateful.”
“I am so proud to be British, but France is one of the few places where fashion is treated with the seriousness it deserves as a form of art,” she said.
All of this comes after reports that things between Brooklyn Beckham and his parents are so bad they’re only speaking through lawyers. And it’s been going on for a while, with the rift reportedly getting worse after Brooklyn’s wedding to Nicola Peltz. Reports indicate that Victoria Beckham was set to design Peltz’s dress, but pulled out last minute, and that she danced inappropriately with her son at the wedding reception, leaving him humiliated.
Brooklyn Beckham recently said on Instagram stories. “I do not want to reconcile with my family. I’m not being controlled, I’m standing up for myself for the first time in my life,” he said. He also added, “Since the moment I started standing up for myself with my family, I’ve received endless attacks from my parents, both publicly and privately, that were sent to the press on their orders. Even my brothers were sent to attack me on social media, before they ultimately blocked me out of nowhere this last Summer.”
Sources told People that things are as bad as they have ever been, but that David and Victoria are leaving the door open. “They are staying quiet because they don’t want to draw more attention to it,” a source said. “David and Victoria love Brooklyn and are afraid of losing their son,” another insider added. “They would take him back in a minute.
But the same doesn’t seem to hold true for Brooklyn’s wife, Nicola Peltz. “The Beckhams have no intention of reconciling with their son unless Nicola is out of the picture,” a source familiar with the situation said. “But that’s not an ultimatum he’s going to cave on. Brooklyn has felt more support from his wife in these past three years than from his parents in his entire life.”
According to sources, at the root of their problems is jealousy. “Victoria and Nicola got along in the first few months, but then Victoria started acting like a jealous girlfriend,” a Peltz family source said. “She seemed so jealous of Nicola.” But sources close to the Beckhams insist it is the other way around. “Nicola is the one who is jealous of Victoria. She wants to be famous.”
Will this family ever be back on good terms? Right now, it seems almost impossible. We’ll have to wait and see.
