Preview – West Ham United

The Pilgrims topped Group D, having beaten Middlesbrough, Leeds United and Sunderland, prior to a defeat at the hands of Newcastle United.

The young Hammers, meanwhile, won Group C after defeating Woking, Truro City and Aldershot Town, as well as earning two points from a draw and subsequent penalty shootout victory over Sutton United.

New Pilgrims’ boss Paul Hurst is likely to make changes to his line-up, with the likes of Liam Waldock and Arjan Raikhy among those pushing for valuable game time.

Hurst will also check on the fitness of full-back Marcel Lavinier, who limped out of Saturday’s 3-3 draw against Southend United.

Should the match end all-square after 90 minutes, the contest will head straight to penalties to determine who reaches the semi-final stage.

The club are only opening the Acorn Taxis (West) Stand for this fixture – with tickets on sale here or contactless payments available on the turnstiles.

The shuttle bus service is not running for this fixture. Car park season pass holders can utilise their normal spaces.
