UPS will slash 30,000 jobs amid ongoing split with Amazon

United Parcel Service plans to eliminate 30,000 jobs in 2026 as it untangles its partnership with Amazon, signaling another year of deep job cuts in a bid to turn around its business.
The shipper will also shutter 24 buildings in the first half of the year, UPS Chief Financial Officer Brian Dykes said Tuesday in a call with investors. The moves are projected to achieve $3 billion in savings, he said.
