Lakers’ LeBron, Bronny James Welcomed Back to Cleveland by Cavaliers With Photos

Wednesday night’s game against the Cleveland Cavaliers will be a homecoming for Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James and his son, Bronny, and the hometown team made a kind gesture for the Ohio natives.

The Cavs welcomed James senior and junior with locker room photos from their time in Cleveland. LeBron James was shown in his 2016 NBA championship apparel, while Bronny was shown as a youngster celebrating the Cavs’ first title win. Lakers assistant coach Scott Brooks, who played in Cleveland toward the end of his playing career, was also welcomed with a photo.

James grew up in Akron, Ohio, before declaring for the 2003 NBA draft, and it was a magical moment when the Cavs selected the hometown kid with the No. 1 pick.

After leaving Cleveland in 2010 and winning two championships with the Miami Heat, he returned in 2014 and restored his home franchise back to prominence, culminating with an NBA championship in 2016 against the 73-9 Golden State Warriors.

James and the Lakers have won four of their last five games and lead the Pacific Division with a 28-17 record. The Cavs (28-20) are also surging with four straight wins entering Wednesday night’s matchup.
