SRH bowl and hand debut to Smaran; KKR bring in Allen and Pandey

Toss Sunrisers Hyderabad chose to bat vs Kolkata Knight Riders
Sunrisers Hyderabad captain Pat Cummins won the toss and chose to bat against Kolkata Knight Riders on a hot afternoon in Hyderabad. They made two changes, including an enforced one with Nitish Kumar Reddy out with illness. Karnataka’s rising star R Smaran made his IPL debut in his place. Left-arm fingerspinner Harsh Dubey made way for seam-bowling allrounder Harshal Patel.KKR also made two changes: Finn Allen is set to play in place of his New Zealand compatriot Tim Seifert while Manish Pandey came in for allrounder Ramandeep Singh. After sitting out of KKR’s previous game against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), Matheesha Pathirana missed another one. KKR’s bowling coach Tim Southee has, however, said that Pathirana has been bowling well at the nets.
Angrish Raghuvanshi will take over the wicketkeeping gloves from Seifert.
SRH have won five matches in a row and if they win again on Sunday, they will go to the top of the points table. Praful Hinge or Sakib Hussain is likely to slot in as SRH’s Impact Player when they defend their total later in the evening. For KKR, Allen will come off the Impact Subs bench when they bat.
