When it comes to the Super Bowl, it’s not just about football.
Historically, it’s also about watching the fun commercials, and it’s also about live music.
This year will be no different.
Two big acts are scheduled to play at Super Bowl 60 in Santa Clara, California, on Feb. 8, 2026 at 6:30 p.m. and it’s not just the New England Patriots and the Seattle Seahawks.
Here’s who they are.
Who will be the ‘opening act’ at Super Bowl 60?
The rock band, Green Day will play at the opening ceremony of Super Bowl 60, which will take place at 3 p.m.
This performance will be on your local NBC channel, and will also stream on Peacock.
Who will play the halftime show at Super Bowl 60?
Latino superstar Bad Bunny will be playing the halftime show at the Super Bowl this year.
Bad Bunny was Spotify’s most listened-to artist globally last year for the fourth consecutive time, according to USA Today.
What has President Donald Trump said about the Super Bowl musical acts?
Trump has clashed in particular Bad Bunny, one of the most popular musicians in the world, who supported former Vice President Kamala Harris in the 2024 presidential election.
Bad Bunny didn’t schedule any stops in the United States for his latest world tour in part because of concerns about the Trump administration’s widely aggressive immigration enforcement policies, he said.
“There were many reasons why I didn’t show up in the U.S., and none of them were out of hate,” the rapper told I-D magazine. “But there was the issue of … ICE could be outside (my concert). And it’s something that we were talking about and very concerned about.”
Regarding Bad Bunny and Green Day, Trump said earlier this month, ““I’m anti-them,” he said. “I think it’s a terrible choice. All it does is sow hatred. Terrible.”
Trump said he won’t be attending the Super Bowl this year, but not because he doesn’t like the entertainment choices.
“It’s just too far away. I would. I’ve gotten great hands for the Super Bowl, they like me,” Trump said in an interview with the New York Post last Friday. “I would go if, you know, it was a little bit shorter.”
Where can people watch Super Bowl 60?
The game will air on your local NBC channel, and it will also stream on Peacock, FuboTV, NFL+, and DirecTV.
