JUDSON, Texas – IDEA Judson was placed on lockdown Thursday morning following a report of a “prohibited item” on school grounds.
School officials said in a statement that they are working closely with authorities to investigate the situation.
Students and staff are safe, and at this time there is no evidence of a critical active threat on campus,” the statement read. “As this is an ongoing investigation, all further questions should be directed to the San Antonio Police Department.
Parents were seen gathering outside the school gates as they waited for updates. Authorities continue to investigate the incident.
