‘The Pitt’ Season 2 episodes, schedule, how to watch

‘The Pitt’ star Noah Wyle drops a hint about Season 2’s storyline

At the Warner Bros. TV Pre-Emmys party, “The Pitt” star Noah Wyle reflects on the show’s success and previews Season 2.

This article contains spoilers for the first three episodes of “The Pitt” Season 2.

Three hours into Dr. Michael “Robby” Robinavitch’s emergency room day shift, his fate-tempting helmetless motorcycle ride catches up to him.

On “The Pitt” Season 2, Episode 3, Robby (Noah Wyle) slips out a seemingly innocent lie that he does, in fact, protect himself while riding his motorcycle − just as he’s treating a mangled biker who wasn’t as lucky.

Hours earlier, viewers remember, as Robby commuted to his last shift before a three-month sabbatical, he rode his bike helmet-free − an oxymoron for an emergency room physician.

Whether the deadly motorcycle accident that came into the Pittsburgh Trauma Medical Center forces Robby to have a change of heart for his ride home is yet to be seen, though − there’s still more than ten hours to go in the day.

The next hour of the 15-hour ER shift, which is anchored by an unflinching group of doctors and nurses, will transpire when the next episode of “The Pitt” airs on Thursday, Jan. 29.

Here’s what to know about Season 2, Episode 4 of “The Pitt.”

‘The Pitt’ Season 2, Episode 3 recap

By the end of the 9 o’clock morning hour, several patients in “The Pitt” get unexpected answers to their obscure medical mysteries.

A young girl with unexplained bruising − which quickly raised suspicions of possible abuse for Dr. Trinity Santos (Isa Briones) − is diagnosed with a rare blood disease.

Michael, a middle-aged man with erratic mood swings, learns of a possibly cancerous mass in his brain, thanks to Dr. Cassie McKay (Fiona Dourif).

And a driver − the one who crashed into the aforementioned motorcyclist − is relieved to discover that his apparent paralysis from the accident was actually caused by a potassium-storage condition.

Meanwhile, elsewhere in the emergency room, the doctors bond with patients over their shared connections − like Robby’s Jewish background as he treats an elderly woman who was in the Tree of Life synagogue shooting; and parenthood as Dr. Frank Langdon (Patrick Ball) and nurse Donnie (Brandon Mendez Homer), a new father, help a boy who ingested beads.

The next episode will see the continued treatment of several cases, including Louie, an ER frequent flyer with a distended belly and toothache; and a belligerent college student who’s tested clear of drugs, much to the surprise of the irked security guard who tased him.
