According to Superdeporte, Carlos Corberán has discussed Guido Rodríguez for the first time ahead of Valencia’s LaLiga meeting with Real Betis at La Cartuja.
He sees the Argentine as an extra option in midfield and believes he can play alongside Pepelu as well as with any of the club’s other midfielders.
On Rodríguez’s deal, which runs until 30 June 2026, Corberán said he does not involve himself in contract negotiations, describing those matters as outside his remit.
He underlined the player’s experience and knowledge of LaLiga and noted he is pleased to have him in the group.
Corberán also confirmed Rodríguez and Unai are included in the travelling squad to Sevilla after both completed training as normal.
