Lauri Markkanen, Keyonte George Left Off 2026 All-Star Rosters

SALT LAKE CITY — The 2026 NBA All-Star reserves were announced on Sunday, and the two Utah Jazz players in contention for a spot found themselves on the outside looking in.
With no representatives selected for the Rising Stars game either, the Jazz’s last hope for a presence in Inglewood now rests on Saturday night’s individual festivities.

Lauri Markkanen has bounced back in a big way this season, surpassing his numbers from the 2022-2023 season, when he was named an All-Star in Utah.
The Finnish forward is averaging 27.4 points and 7.0 rebounds on 47.9 percent from the field and 36.4 percent from three.
He is currently the ninth-highest scorer in the NBA and one of only 17 players scoring 25 or more on a nightly basis.

Keyonte George burst onto the scene in his junior campaign and quickly put his name in the conversation of the best guards in the NBA.
George is averaging 24.2 points and 6.6 assists on 45.9 percent from the field and 37.7 percent from downtown.
Guard is debatably the most stacked position for both All-Stars and All-NBA selections. So it makes sense that George, in his third year, comes up a bit short.

It’s worth noting that either of the two Jazz stars can still make the ASG if an injury replacement is needed.
