It Turns Out SZA Quietly Snuck Into the 2026 Grammys

The 2026 Grammys are here and so far everyone is giving iconic looks. But we couldn’t help but wonder where our girl, SZA, was as celebs pulled up on the carpet.

As it turns out, SZA seemingly missed the red carpet altogether—but she quietly snuck into the show, as she was spotted behind host Trevor Noah as he convinced Bad Bunny to give the audience an impromptu performance of “DtMF” ahead of his headlining Super Bowl performance.

This isn’t the first time she skipped the carpet. In 2025, she missed out but arrived at the show in a bubblegum pink dress when she presented Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars with the Best Pop Duo/Group Performance award for “Die With a Smile.”

As for this year’s show, SZA is nominated alongside Kendrick Lamar for Record of the Year, Song of the Year, and Best Melodic Rap Performance for “luther.” She is also up for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for “30 for 30.” Oh, and she’s nominated for Best Traditional R&B Performance for “Crybaby.”

SZA spoke about working with Kendrick on “luther,” saying on Sherri that she’d “love” to do a full joint album with him.

“He is such a genius and part of his genius and part of his genius is him being so elusive and so mysterious, and I love it,” SZA gushed. “I don’t know what’s going on as much as you know what’s going on. When ‘luther’ came out, I said okay that’s the vocals we’re using, period. And same with ‘gloria,’ I said okay! I love that though, that’s also part of the fumbling and finding. I feel like he’s a huge part of my fumbling and finding era because I’m just trusting all of his expertise and being thrust into these moments and spotlight and saying yes, and he’s so good at saying yes but staying grounded.”
