After a snowy January, Punxsutawney Phil predicts more winter ahead

As the sun rose over a 7-degree morning at Pennsylvania’s Gobbler’s Knob, Punxsutawney Phil emerged from his wintertime burrow to predict that more of the same lies ahead.
“It is my job this February 2 to look to the skies to report back to you that there is a shadow here on my ground — six more weeks of winter abound,” noted the scroll read aloud by Dan McGinley, vice president of the Punxsutawney Groundhog Club Inner Circle.
