Ipswich Town have signed 17-year-old Ryan Doherty from Stevenage for what the League One side said was a six-figure fee plus add-ons.
Midfielder Doherty has made three appearances for Stevenage’s first team in League One this season and started in all four of their EFL Trophy matches.
He made his first team debut in October 2024 to become the club’s youngest ever outfield player to feature in a senior men’s match.
“It’s a privilege to sign for such a big club. Knowing there was interest for a little while, I knew this is where I wanted to go for the next step of my career,” Doherty told Ipswich’s website, external.
“I’m really happy to be here.”
