Scott Wright Is Back!

Dundee Football Club are thrilled to announce the signing of forward Scott Wright on a loan deal for the rest of the season from Birmingham City. The transfer is subject to international clearance.

Scott joins the club for the second time, after a stint on loan in the 2018/19 season, with three goals and four assists in his previous spell in Dark Blue.

Born in Balmedie, Scott started his career at Aberdeen, working his way through the Dons Academy through to the first team, had the short spell at Dens in 2019 before signing permanently for Rangers in 2021, winning the Scottish Premiership, the Scottish Cup and the League Cup in his time there. He spent 3 years at the Light Blues before moving to Birmingham City in the summer of 2024. Scott was part of the Blues’ title winning side last season, gaining promotion back to the Championship.

Speaking after signing for the Dee Scott said, “It’s great to be back, excited to be back here and be playing some football. Personally it was great for me at the time (the previous loan spell), I came in as a young man, it was good for me getting away from home and playing real football. I’m delighted to be back, can’t wait to see the fans at Dens Park soon.”
