Bristol Rovers sign Tommy Leigh on loan

Bristol Rovers is pleased to confirm the loan signing of Tommy Leigh from Sky Bet League One team Bradford City, subject to EFL approval.
The 25-year-old is the Gas’ eighth signing of the January transfer window and will wear the No24 shirt for the Club.
The midfielder also has Football League experience with Accrington Stanley and Milton Keynes Dons and has an impressive 30 goals and 16 assists in 176 appearances, while also achieving a promotion to Sky Bet League One with the Bantams last term.
“I’m over the moon to be at Bristol Rovers,” he said. “Obviously, it was very short notice, but as soon as this Club came in for me, I knew this was the one I wanted to go to. As soon as Steve Evans is on the phone, you’ve got to go.
“I know what Evans can do, and I know what he can probably bring out of me in a player, and he’s a top, top manager. I really can’t wait to get started with him. You want to be wanted at a Club and that’s how I felt when I answered the phone.
“Bristol Rovers is a massive Club. I’ve played at the stadium a couple of times, and the fans are fantastic. They always make noise. Every time I have been there, they have been loud.”
