Brie Bella and Nikki Bella Will Face Iyo Sky and Rhea Ripley at WrestleMania 42
There are only two things confirmed right now for WrestleMania 42. One is that Liv Morgan will be competing for the title of her choice after winning the 2026 Women’s Royal Rumble. The second being that Roman Reigns will be competing for the title of his choice after winning the Men’s Royal Rumble.
With WrestleMania 42 taking place on Saturday, April 18, and Sunday, April 19, now is the time for the WWE to start laying the groundwork for the other matches to take place.
The return of Brie Bella should set both her and Nikki Bella up to have a match at WrestleMania 42. For a prominent women’s tag team such as the Bella Twins to return to the spotlight, the optimal approach would be to have them contend for the tag team championships once more.
Currently, it is Iyo Sky and Rhea Ripley who hold the titles. Sky and Ripley won the titles on the January 5 edition of WWE Raw when they beat Asuka and Kairi Sane.
Sky and Ripley have instantly become fan-favorites and are often looked at as the new dominant women’s duo in the tag team division.
The best way for the WWE title propel “Rhiyo” would be to have them face what used to be the most dominant women’s tag team group, the Bella Twins.
When Nikki Bella made her own return in 2025, she already said this would be her last run in the WWE. This could be for a year or two years, but one big thing Nikki Bella wanted was to go on another meaningful run with her twin, Brie Bella.
The Bella Twins did a lot over their time in the WWE. With the return of Brie Bella, it only seems right that on the biggest stage of them all in WWE, the Bella Twins are given one last chance to try and secure the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship belts. This will set them up to either go on a run or pass the torch on in a dominant match.
