Flames’ Parekh returns to lineup vs. Maple Leafs

For the first time in nearly three months, Zayne Parekh will suit up in an NHL game.
Calgary Flames head coach Ryan Huska confirmed to reporters that the young defenceman will make his return to the lineup when the team hosts the Toronto Maple Leafs on Monday.
Parekh has not suited up for the Flames since Nov. 17 against the Chicago Blackhawks.
In 11 games with the big club this season, the 19-year-old D-man has one assist and is still looking for his first goal.
Parekh was recently on a conditioning assignment with the AHL’s Calgary Wranglers, where he had five points over four games.
His stint in the AHL came after he was a star for Canada at the 2026 world juniors, setting a national record for points by a defenceman in a single tournament (five goals, eight assists).
With his recent success, how is he feeling about his return to NHL action?
“I’m feeling confident,” Parekh said Monday. “Feeling good.
“I’m having fun again.”
