Kid Rock headlining Turning Point USA alternative to Bad Bunny Super Bowl halftime show

Rap rocker-turned-conservative stalwart Kid Rock will headline an alternative Super Bowl halftime show, Turning Point USA announced Monday.
While six-time Grammy winner Bad Bunny performs during intermission of pro football’s championship game, Kid Rock, the “All Summer Long” singer, is set to be joined by country artists Brantley Gilbert, Lee Brice and Gabby Barrett in the conservative group’s “All-American Halftime Show.”
The NFL stood by its selection after some conservatives objected to Bad Bunny, the American artist who performs in Spanish.
Bad Bunny, 31, won album of the year at the Grammys on Sunday, via “DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS,” marking the first time an all-Spanish-language album has won in the coveted category.
Bad Bunny’s performance will be aired on NBC, while the alternative show “can be streamed on Turning Point USA social media channels, including YouTube, X, and Rumble,” the group said.
“In addition to social media, the program will air on partner platforms, including Daily Wire+, Real America’s Voice, TBN, CHARGE!, The National News Desk, NTD.com, and OAN News,” Turning Point USA added.
Turning Point USA spokesman Andrew Kolvet called his group’s show “an opportunity for all Americans to enjoy a halftime show with no agenda other than to celebrate faith, family, and freedom.”
The Super Bowl is set to kick off slightly after 6:30 p.m. ET Sunday, so halftime could arrive between 8 p.m. and 8:30 p.m.
The NFC champion Seattle Seahawks are 4.5-point favorites over the New England Patriots.
