What is ‘The Librarians: The Next Chapter’ about?
A spinoff of the original “The Librarians” television and film franchise, “The Librarians: The Next Chapter” follows Vikram Chamberlain (Callum McGowan), a Librarian from 1847 who becomes stranded in the present day after time traveling.
When Vikram returns to his former castle in Serbia, now a museum, he accidentally unleashes magic across Europe. To fix his mistake, he’s forced to assemble a team tasked with locating dangerous supernatural artifacts and preventing magical disasters.
What to expect in ‘The Librarians: The Next Chapter’ Season 2
According to TNT, Lysa (Olivia Morris) and Connor (Bluey Robinson) continue adjusting to their new duties as Librarians, while Guardian Charlie (Jessica Green) faces increasing responsibility protecting the group. Meanwhile, Vikram must learn to rely on his teammates instead of operating alone.
The team will also encounter the legendary wizard Merlin, played by Dominic Monaghan (“Lost,” “The Lord of the Rings”), who challenges the very foundations of the Library and tempts the team to break one of its most sacred rules.
In the season premiere, the Librarians investigate a mysterious outbreak of rage at an international boarding school, where they encounter a man claiming to be Merlin. Together, they must uncover the source of the magic before time runs out.
