Panthers’ Brad Marchand remains out vs. Bruins, Sam Bennett will play

The forward will remain out on Wednesday against the Boston Bruins as he continues to recover from an undisclosed injury, George Richards of Florida Hockey Now reported.
Marchand has not played since Jan. 29, when he exited a game against the St. Louis Blues. The Team Canada forward has played 45 games this season around injuries, tallying 25 goals and 25 assists.
The 37-year-old will have one more chance to return on Thursday against Tampa Bay in Florida’s final game before the Olympics, where he is supposed to represent Canada.
On the other hand, Sam Bennett is good to go on Wednesday after leaving Monday’s loss to the Buffalo Sabres with an upper-body injury. Bennett was added to Team Canada’s Olympic roster on Tuesday as an injury replacement for Anthony Cirelli.
Anton Lundell is also likely to return against the Bruins after missing the past three games with an upper-body injury. He is also off to the Olympics as a member of Team Finland.
The men’s Olympic hockey tournament begins on Feb. 11.
