AEW’s referee made sure everyone heard the very loud ‘F*** ICE’ chants

The main event of last night’s (Feb. 4) episode of Dynamite featured Brody King squashing AEW World Champion MJF in a very quick match. One of the biggest talking points coming out of the match is how the fans in Las Vegas chanted “Fuck ICE” very loudly at the end of the ring introductions, but before the opening bell rang to begin the fight.
After the show, AEW Referee Bryce Remsburg posted the following message on social media, indicating that he intentionally delayed the opening bell to let the chants take center stage for a little while longer.
“It seems like the referee may have waited to ring the bell so these could resonate longer? Oh no. Whoops.”
“Fuck ICE” is a sentiment not only echoed by Brody King, Hangman Page, Becky Lynch, The Rock’s daughter, Jesse Ventura, and more pro wrestlers, but also by most Americans after Donald Trump’s Immigration & Customs Enforcement (ICE) forces shot and murdered Renee Good and Alex Pretti in Minnesota last month. Irredeemable shitheads in the Trump administration like JD Vance, Kristi Noem, and Stephen Miller have actually tried to blame the victims of the fatal shootings, while falsely labeling them as domestic terrorists and/or assassins.
Good on AEW’s referee for letting the “Fuck ICE” chants go on for a few seconds longer on Dynamite, because that’s a phrase that cannot be repeated enough right now.
