School buses are only running in eastern Ontario’s Kingston and Belleville area Tuesday because of a snowy forecast.

All other English and French buses are cancelled.

Schools are generally open. Check with your school or board for information on what happens when there are no buses.

No cancellations have been announced in western Quebec.

Environment Canada is forecasting about 10 centimetres of snow Tuesday morning and afternoon, except in those areas near Lake Ontario.

Specifically, its special weather statements call for five to 10 centimetres of snow immediately north of Kingston-Belleville, seven to 12 cm in and around Ottawa and 10 to 15 cm in the Pembroke area.

Kingston’s outlook is for two to four centimetres.

The region is also returning closer to normal temperatures for mid-February after a very cold weekend.
