Blue Jays’ Santander needs labrum surgery, out 5-6 months

Toronto Blue Jays outfielder Anthony Santander will miss at least five-to-six months after undergoing left labral surgery, manager John Schneider announced Tuesday.
Santander played just 54 regular-season games last season after joining the Blue Jays on a five-year, $92.5-million contract in free agency.
Schneider also revealed that former Cy Young winner Shane Bieber is dealing with forearm fatigue and won’t be ready for Opening Day, while right-hander Bowden Francis needs season-ending surgery to repair a torn ulnar collateral ligament in his elbow.
More to come.
