Jon Stewart Mocks Kid Rock’s Halftime Show, MAGA Reaction to Bad Bunny

The Daily Show host also goofed on Kid Rock’s lip-synched performance at the Turning Point USA alternative halftime show
Jon Stewart had a field day with the MAGA meltdown over Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl halftime show and the Turning Point USA counter-program on The Daily Show last night (Feb. 9).
Stewart himself was full of raves for Bad Bunny’s performance, calling it “joyful and infectious and …” — before cutting to a clip of right-wing commentator Benny Johnson declaring it “the single worst halftime show in NFL history.”
Mustering fake sympathy, Stewart corrected himself: “I forgot, for a significant portion of Americans, everything that happens must uniformly be filtered through a particular MAGA-centric worldview. And judged on how well it conforms to that traditional vision, which doesn’t include knowing where the biblioteca is.”
Stewart then shared a montage of other commentators losing their minds over the lack of English during Bad Bunny’s set. He ultimately chose, however, to let the ridiculousness speak for itself and spend a good chunk of the rest of his segment goofing on the overly tanned and extremely mad host Sid Rosenberg.
“Here’s some English for you — who put Thanos over here in the air fryer,” Stewart quipped. “Did Fox decide they needed an actual Buffalo wing to comment on the game?”

Stewart then mockingly praised TP USA for putting on an “All-American Halftime Show that celebrates this beautiful country in the King’s English we all share” — then proceeded to play a clip of headliner Kid Rock lip-synching to his famously comprehensible “Bawitdaba.”
“Thank you!” Stewart exclaimed. “Merriam and Webster couldn’t have put it better themselves regarding the up-jumping of said boogie, insofar as the diggy-diggy-diggy, being da-bang-a-da-bang.”
