ITV This Morning viewers were left in tears over a group of dads who formed a special football club after all losing babies.
Forget Me Knot FC was created last year to help dads who have experienced baby loss, offering them a safe space to talk, connect and open up about their grief.
Five members appeared on the daytime show on Wednesday (February 11). Introducing the segment on the ITV show, host Ben Shephard said losing a child was “every parent’s worst nightmare”, adding: “The grief that follows can be equally as painful and often isolating.”
Discussing why the group was so important, one of the dads, Sean, explained: “From the group, even though we’re 10 years on, like when we first lost Harper and then seven years later when we lost Rory, there was no or very limited support for men out there.”

He said as soon as he heard about the group he wanted to be part of it.
“It’s getting dads in a group together, get them talking, because we’re not great at talking… men don’t talk and that’s what we’re trying to do, break the taboo of men don’t talk,” he said. “And it’s okay to talk about baby loss. It is a difficult subject for others to approach.”
Sam, another of the dads, lost baby Rae in 2023. He became emotional and stopped talking as he shared his story, saying: “I’m so sorry.”
But Ben chimed in: “Don’t worry. It’s a full-on thing, not only talking about this, but also being on live television at the same time.”

Co-host Cat Deeley said: “Grief never goes away, really. It’s constantly there. And you just never know when it’s going to appear again. But having that knowledge that you have these people who have your back, must just reassure you.”
As the interview wrapped up, the presenters surprised the team with a gift. “We reached out to Puma, who have a little bit of surprise, because they have kindly agreed to supply you with a full team kit,” Ben shared.
Viewers were moved by the segment, with one posting on X, formerly Twitter: “They’ve made me cry!”
“Aww that was nice from Puma,” said someone else, adding: “Sweet guys.”
“Didn’t expect Puma to have me crying today,” said another viewer.
This Morning airs on ITV at 10am on weekdays
