Milano Cortina 2026: Day 5 Olympic events to watch, full schedule

Men’s hockey and men’s curling begin on Wednesday at the Winter Olympics.
Here are athletes and teams to watch on Day 5, along with the full schedule (all times Eastern):
Jack Crawford (Men’s super-G, 5:30 a.m.)
The Toronto skier finished ninth in the Games-opening men’s downhill on Saturday. On Wednesday, he competes in the super-G. Crawford was the world champion in this event in 2023.
Maia Schwinghammer (Women’s moguls final, 8:15 a.m.)
The Saskatoon native was sixth in qualifying for Wednesday’s women’s moguls final. Schwinghammer won bronze at last year’s world championships.
Juraj Slafkovsky (Men’s hockey, Slovakia vs. Finland, 10:40 a.m.)
The Montreal Canadiens forward will need to be at his best to give Slovakia a shot to contend. The team faces a tough test to start the tournament against Finland.
Team Brad Jacobs (Men’s curling, Canada vs. Germany, 1:05 p.m.)
The Canadian men’s curling team takes on Germany in the first draw of the competition. Jacobs won gold with a different rink at the 2014 Olympics.
Piper Gilles and Paul Poirier (Free dance, 1:30 p.m.)
The Canadian ice dancers sit third heading into the ice dance. Gilles and Poirier are four-time medallists at the world championships.
