Live updates: Attorney General Pam Bondi faces Epstein questions from lawmakers

Raskin criticises Bondi for moving Ghislaine Maxwell into low-security prisonpublished at 15:32 GMT
Jamie Raskin, the ranking Democrat member of the committee, says for Bondi to do her job she must listen to victims, like the women seated behind you, referencing Epstein survivors in the room.
“You still haven’t met with these survivors,” he says, before listing their names.
He says Bondi isn’t showing interest in the victims of either Epstein’s crimes or the victims of the “homicidal government violence against citizens in Minneapolis”.
Her legacy, he says, will be being on the side of perpetrators, not victims.
He criticises Bondi for not turning over all of the six million Epstein documents, and says in what was released she redacted the names of “abusers, enablers, accomplices and co-conspirators”.
Raskin then criticises Bondi for the moving of Epstein co-conspirator Ghislaine Maxwell into a low-security prison, in which he says she enjoys five-star treatment including catered meals and access to a “therapy puppy”.
“Abandoning victims and coddling perpetrators is what you do best”, he says.
