Cambria County native Dan Barefoot’s Olympic journey ended without a podium finish or a medal in the men’s skeleton competition.
Barefoot, a Geistown native and a first-time Olympian, competed Friday in heats three and four. After heat three, he was 19th out of 24 competitors with a total time of 2:52:44.
After heat four, Barefoot’s total time was 3:49:86. He finished 20th overall out of 24 men’s skeleton competitors.
