Proteas women bowl first as they chase T20 whitewash of Pakistan

The Pakistan women won the toss and chose to bat first in the third and final T20 International against the Proteas women at Willowmoore Park in Benoni on Monday evening.

The Proteas have already secured the series after picking up five-wicket and six-wicket wins respectively over the visitors in the first two T20Is at the JB Marks Oval in Potchefstroom last Tuesday, and in Benoni this past Friday night.

It is thus the perfect opportunity for the Proteas to claim a clean sweep in the series as they build towards the T20 World Cup in England and Wales later this year.

But Pakistan will be desperate to hit back with a consolation win, while both teams will be eager to take some momentum into the three-match ODI series starting in Bloemfontein on Sunday.

PROTEAS WOMEN: Tazmin Brits, Lara Goodall, Laura Wolvaardt (capt), Dane van Niekerk, Marizanne Kapp, Nadine de Klerk, Annerie Dercksen, Karabo Meso (wk), Masabat Klaas, Ayabonga Khaka, Nonkululeko Mlaba

PAKISTAN WOMEN: Muneeba Ali (wk), Gull Feroza, Ayesha Zafar, Sidra Amin, Natalia Pervaiz, Fatima Sana (capt), Aliya Riaz, Tuba Hassan, Tasmia Rubab, Nashra Sandhu, Sadia Iqbal
