Lindsey Vonn’s Sister Finds ‘Silver Lining’ In Her Ski Injury — And It’s Funny

Lindsey Vonn’s sister Karin Kildow didn’t suffer a compound fracture like her sibling at the Winter Olympics ― but she hilariously reaped the benefits of the hospital stay.
“Delete your dating apps and just to go an Italian emergency room,” Kildow wrote, quickly revealing why.
In a video set to “This Will Be (An Everlasting Love),” Kildow featured hunks in scrubs working in the Treviso, Italy, medical facility where her sister was being treated.
“I said there would be a silver lining… 😂,” Kildow wrote. “In all seriousness shout out to all the truly kind and caring doctors and nurses who helped Lindsey.”
Hot medical professionals aside, Vonn has been through an ordeal since the Feb. 8 crash in the Milan Cortina downhill stopped her Olympic comeback at age 41. She sustained a complex tibia fracture and had four subsequent surgeries. (She had already ruptured her ACL shortly before the Games.)
“… So please, don’t feel sad,” she wrote. “The ride was worth the fall. When I close my eyes at night I don’t have regrets and the love I have for skiing remains. I am still looking forward to the moment when I can stand on the top of the mountain once more. And I will.”
“Haven’t stood on my feet in over a week … been in a hospital bed immobile since my race. And although I’m not yet able to stand, being back on home soil feels amazing,” Vonn wrote on X with an American flag emoji. “Huge thank you to everyone in Italy for taking good care of me.”
