Students from Upper Grand secondary schools are headed to DECA International Career Development Conference (ICDC) this spring!

Recently, UGDSB students attended the DECA Provincials, competing against more than 6,000 of Ontario’s top business students.

This April, qualifying students will head to Atlanta, Georgia, to compete against top DECA members from around the world in business, marketing, finance, hospitality, and management events.

Ten students from Guelph CVI have qualified for the ICDC, marking the largest number of qualifiers from the school in its history. In addition, six students from Centennial CVI have also earned spots at the prestigious international competition.

“This achievement reflects the dedication, talent, and hard work of our students,” said Dawn Nicholson, DECA advisor at Guelph CVI.

DECA prepares emerging leaders and entrepreneurs for careers in business and beyond through competitive events, leadership development, and real-world experiences.

Congratulations to ALL competitors!
