Australia vs India women’s T20 2026: Know schedule and where to watch AUS-W vs IND-W live streaming and telecast

The Indian women’s cricket team will take on Australia in a three-match AUS-W vs IND-W T20 2026 series, starting Sunday in Sydney.

The first T20I will be played at Sydney Cricket Ground before the action shifts to the Manuka Oval, Canberra, and the Adelaide Oval for the second and third matches, respectively.

The series will be the Indian women’s first T20 engagement this year. India enter the series as world No. 3, with hosts Australia sitting at No. 1 in the ICC women’s T20I cricket team rankings. 

Several members of the Women’s ODI World Cup-winning contingent, including captain Harmanpreet Kaur, vice-captain Smriti Mandhana and Player of the Series Deepti Sharma, are in the Indian squad for the Australia series.

Jemimah Rodrigues, who scored an unbeaten 127 to script a record run chase in the ODI World Cup semi-final against Australia, also features in the squad.

Shreyanka Patil and Bharti Fulmali return to the national side, having last played in 2024 and 2019, respectively. Their inclusion marks the only changes from the squad that completed a dominant 5-0 sweep against Sri Lanka late last year. Harleen Deol misses out.

For Australia, newly appointed multi-format captain Sophie Molineux will lead the team for the first time following her elevation to the role last month. 

Both teams will use the series as key preparation ahead of the Women’s T20 World Cup 2026, to be held in June-July in England and Wales.

AUS-W vs IND-W T20 head-to-head

Overall, the two teams have squared off 35 times, with Australia dominating the head-to-head record between the sides with 26 wins. India have come out on top just seven times, with one match ending in a tie and one without a result.

The last time India met Australia in a 20-over match was at the T20 World Cup 2024, when they lost by nine runs.
