Love Island: Scott van-der-Sluis’ family speak out following ‘vulnerable’ episode

We’re coming up to the end of the latest series of Love Island and you’d think that the All Stars couples would be settled down, but no, there’s only two couples that are officially exclusive and the rest seem to be chilling.
One couple that has been moving at a slow pace is Scott van-der-Sluis and Leanne Amaning. During last night’s (Tuesday 17 February) episode, we didn’t know what would happen as they both seemed to be at odds over the labels in the villa – closed off/exclusive/girlfriend and boyfriend etc etc.
Luckily by the end of the episode they seemed to be on the same page (it’s about damn time, tbh) and now Scott’s family – well, we assume it’s his family running his social pages – has spoken out.

Commenting underneath the clip of Scott and Leanne admitting that they only want to be with each other, they wrote, ‘Anyone who knows Scott will know how much this would [have] taken, Scott does not do this like EVER, Scott is never vulnerable, and he certainly will never fake or force anything…
‘This right here tells me everything I have believed about them all along, even if they aren’t the winners, these two right here are winning in life right now, just genuine authentic feelings and I’m so proud of them both on how far they have come ❤️.’
Cuuuuuute.
The comment has been liked over 2k times and fans have commented, with one person writing, ‘Yesssss!!! I never doubted Scott once!!!! I always knew he would make the right decision about everything and I am just as proud of him as you are!! I am proud to be his supporter since day one🥹🥹🥹.’
Someone else said, ‘When a man wants to take you to meet his family and meet yours, it is a serious thing. Really glad to see and hear.’
A third added, ‘It’s a beautiful thing to see the vulnerability and progress being made. Their connection is sincere and lovely + has blossomed through the storms to come out stronger 🌹🥹💕.’

While Scott and Leanne appeared to be the strongest couple at the beginning of the series, the cracks started to show after Leanne was in the bottom three and Scott admitted he wouldn’t have left the villa for her.
Savage.
THEN Villa USA arrived and Scott’s head turned towards Sher Suarez. Not wanting to be in a love triangle, Leanne called it off but Belle Hassan took a liking to Scott soon after…
There was the whole Scott x Leanne x Belle drama that even involved Yamen Sanders going into the Secret Garden, but luckily that’s all in the past and Scott and Leanne are back together.
Phew.
