Warriors’ Stephen Curry to be re-evaluated in 10 days, miss five more games

Stephen Curry will remain on the shelf for a little while longer.
Curry has been dealing with patella-femoral pain syndrome/bone bruising. The Warriors added that the star guard underwent an MRI on Wednesday that showed no structural damage.
The timeline will keep Curry sidelined for at least five more games.
Curry has been out since Jan. 30 with the ailment, missing the Warriors’ last five games before the all-star break and also sitting out the All-Star Game.
“It’s just lingering soreness,” coach Steve Kerr said Thursday before a game against Boston. “We were hoping, obviously, that he’d be ready for tonight after getting the all-star break but wasn’t the case. He just needs more time.”
The 37-year-old has appeared in 39 games this season, averaging 27.2 points, 3.5 rebounds and 4.8 assists while shooting 39.1 per cent from three.
The Warriors have been bitten by the injury bug this season. Jimmy Butler has already been ruled out for the remainder of the year with a torn right ACL.
Golden State sits eighth in the West at 29-26.
