Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills are officially in the offseason, and it’s been an eventful one, since the team parted ways with longtime head coach Sean McDermott and replaced him with offensive coordinator Joe Brady. But, in personal news, Allen and his wife Hailee Steinfeld are getting ready to be first-time parents.
Allen has been able to focus solely on being a new father ever since the Buffalo Bills lost in the divisional round of the NFL playoffs on January 17, where they came close but fell in a heartbreaker to the Denver Broncos.
Now, Steinfeld is opening up about her pregnancy journey and letting fans in on what life is like for her and Allen as they prepare to be parents. In the Friday, February 20, edition of her “Beau Society” newsletter, Steinfeld gives tips on how to have the best holiday ever.
Buffalo Bills Quarterback Josh Allen’s Wife Hailee Steinfeld Talks Being Pregnant
In the newsletter, Steinfeld talks about her pregnancy journey. In it, she says that “the reality that our little family is about to grow really started to settle in.”
“Of course, I have all the to-do lists (which you know I love), and I’ve been busy with research and the general life reorganization that happens when you’re about to have a baby,” she shared in the newsletter. “But the most profound and grounding part of getting ready for this baby has been the introspective side of it: the quiet conversations I’m having with myself almost every day.”
Steinfeld goes on to say that she’s asking herself all kinds of questions as she and Allen prepare to be parents. “Sometimes I find myself asking big, lofty questions (what am I going to be like as a mom?) or having vivid daydreams of what our life is about to look like when the three of us are cuddled up in the nursery together,” she says. “While tuning in, I’ve experienced this surreal, full-body awareness that our world is about to expand in beautiful ways.”
Finally, she says that she and Allen are “getting ready to meet someone we already love so much. I’ve racked my brain for words to describe that feeling, and I don’t have them yet. Maybe that’s the point. For now, I’m blessed to be settling into the feeling.”
Josh Allen’s Wife Hailee Steinfeld Just Had Her Baby Shower
In the same newsletter, Steinfeld said that she just had her baby shower. She also said that “putting together a nursery has been a joy for me.”
“I’ve gone back and forth on tiny details more than I care to admit (why is choosing a rocking chair this emotional?), but seeing it all slowly come together has made our new life feel more tangible” she added. “Emphasis on ‘slowly’ coming together — it’s all still very much a work in progress.”
Lastly, she talks about the shower stating, “last weekend my mom threw the most beautiful baby shower at our home,” and adding that more details will be on the way in her newsletter.
