Claude Goes Down for Thousands of Users, Downdetector Reports

Claude AI experienced a possible outage Wednesday, with thousands of users reporting issues, according to Downdetector.com.
More than 4,000 users had reported problems with the platform as of 9:11 a.m. PST, according to Downdetector, which tracks outages by collecting status reports from multiple sources.
Most users reporting problems to Downdetector said they were experiencing Claude Chat issues.
According to Claude’s status page, the platform is showing a partial outage. They have said they have identified the issue with the Claude Desktop application and are working on deploying a fix.
Update at 9:18 a.m.
Claude’s status checker is now showing that they are currently investigating an issues for “500s for public-api.”
More than 6,000 users have now reported issues with the platform.
Update at 10:16 a.m.
User reports of issues with Claude AI have risen again after a small decline, with roughly 10,000 users now reporting problems.
According to the company’s status page, a fix has been deployed for desktop and users are advised to update to Claude Desktop version 1.1.4328 or reinstall the application to resolve the issue.
