We’re used to seeing her helping others feel good in their clothes during our fashion segments, but back in 2010 our very own Lisa Snowdon was feeling anything but good. Suffering from crushing headaches, fever and a stiff neck she put it down to exhaustion. But instead these were all signs her body was trying to tell her she was very ill. Overlooking the symptoms for nearly a month she finally went to hospital and was diagnosed with viral meningitis. She joins us today alongside Dr Emma Wall (an academic consultant in Infectious Diseases and Acute Medicine) to tell her story, how close she came to death and how the disease has impacted her in the long term.
