Sarkodie, WAVVI grant 250 Ghanaian artists free Royal Albert Hall livestream

The initiative coincides with Ghana Independence Day and aims to support emerging artists by granting them a front-row digital view of a major international performance.

Sarkodie’s Rapperholic show represents a significant milestone, taking place at one of the world’s most prestigious venues and highlighting the global rise of African music. The collaboration with WAVVI allows local independent artists to participate in this historic moment.

In a message shared on Instagram and TikTok, Sarkodie addressed Ghanaian creators directly: “Independent artists in Ghana! Listen up! I’ve teamed up with WAVVI.app, West Africa’s artist-first distribution platform. If you’re serious about your music, WAVVI helps you release worldwide, collect your royalties, and get paid directly, even through mobile money. To celebrate Ghana Independence Day, we’re giving 250 independent artists FREE access to livestream my sold-out Rapperholic Royal Albert Hall show in London on 6 March. This is for the independent artists putting in the work!”

WAVVI, which describes itself as an artist-first platform, offers global music distribution, direct mobile money pay-outs, transparent royalty tracking, and AI-powered tools to help emerging West African artists grow sustainably. Through this initiative, the platform is connecting local talent with international opportunities while supporting transparent revenue streams.

Artists can claim the free tickets by signing up on WAVVI’s website, WAVVI.app, on a first-come, first-served basis.

This partnership underscores a broader mission to empower independent musicians in West Africa, providing access to both high-profile global performances and modern digital distribution tools.
