Whitecaps FC are honoured to have Georgi Ford from Ronald McDonald House as Kid Captain for Saturday’s match against Toronto FC.
Recently diagnosed with leukemia, Georgi has been staying at Ronald McDonald House since November. Through everything, she has shown unbelievable strength, resilience, and determination. Soccer is one of Georgi’s biggest joys. Her favourite player is Thomas Müller, and she loves his movement, energy, and knack for always being in the right place. Georgi brings that same spirit to her soccer games at the Ronald McDonald House Forest Lounge, where chairs, couches, and family members quickly become part of the field. She has an impressive winning streak there, often beating both Mum and Dad, and insists on celebrating every goal properly.
