During its run the series was highly praised by critics and currently holds a 90% Fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
Out of its five seasons, the first is the only not to reach a full 100% Fresh rating, with critics later noting how the show kept getting better.
Upon its premiere in 2011, Paste wrote: “Person of Interest in an interesting premise, albeit flawed, that will hopefully flesh itself out further.”
Writing about season two, TV Fanatic praised the series’ development, saying: “With it’s great combination of action and drama, there’s no shortage of excitement week to week.”
While the AV Club wrote of season three: “A smart show that keeps getting smarter, Person Of Interest evolved from a procedural with a twist into something entirely itself: a well-paced, tightly constructed sci-fi thriller that continually questions its assumptions.”
Person of Interest is streaming now on Netflix.
