In addition to exclusive releases on Record Store Day, wild record store concerts, DJ sets and celebrations in and in front of participating record stores are also to be expected this year.

In Berlin, 13 record stores are participating in RECORD STORE DAY; in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, there are around 250 record stores each year.
Several hundred exclusive RSD releases are expected again in 2026.
Of course, the releases will be on offer, but there will also be record store concerts, parties and evening club events, such as the Record Store Day Street Party by Dodo Beach in Berlin-Schöneberg.
RSD draws attention to record stores and celebrates their importance to music lovers as places of inspiration and exchange with other people who are equally obsessed with and appreciate music.
These phenomena still apply today, even though music purchases are increasingly being made via online ordering services, download and streaming platforms. RECORD STORE DAY is by no means about joining forces with those stuck in the past to romanticise the music world. Rather, the day of action celebrates all your trusted record dealers and what only they can do.
